Saturday Aug 3 was a dinner and river boat cruise on the Michigan Princess Riverboat on the Grand River in Lansing with 29 classmates along with several spouses and friends. Boarded at 6:30pm and shared the main deck with Holt class of 73. When the boat left shore at 8 or so, dinner started. Boat returned around 10pm. After partying/visiting some of us went over to the Dispatch Bar and stayed til last call. Weather was nice, cool. Sunset was pretty and some nice photos were shot.
Sunday we had golf scramble, this time at Hastings Country Club where Ted Koch hosted the outing with his wife Terry, who is the mgr there. Tee-time was after 1pm. We had two groups of 4 playing a best ball setup. Another nice day with a cool start but warmer as we had to work harder to get the ball up to the greens. Party continued in the clubhouse later where we were joined by more classmates. Had snacks and drinks provided by Terry. Stories of high school, fights, and how the Hell did kids get away with what they did by Ted and others had us laughing into the evening. Finally called it quits as darkness fell.
